STRIKE FORCE NZ takes SUPREMACY VI deep South

Dunedin-NZ where it all began for mixed martial arts (in New Zealand) will be the next venue of choice as Strike Force take their sixth edition of "SUPREMACY" on the road as the deep south builds on an already fight hungry audience. Matchmaker and co-promoter Karl Webber has announced a main event between Matt Toa and veteran Peter Aberdeen in a bid to create a legitimate challenger for his heavy weight champion Sam "Striker" Brown. The promo will take place July 3rd at Sammy's entertainment in Crawford street.

Press release by SF is as follows:

Following on the success of Supremacy 5, where we completed our goal of crowning our 5 MMA Supremacy NZ Champions we will take it to the next level where we have two main goals now.

1. Developing solid contenders for the NZ Titles and 2. Bringing in talent from off shore to test NZ's best.

So Supremacy 6 will feature a Number #1 Heavyweight Contender fight where two of the countries most experienced heavyweights (who are both coming off wins here in NZ) will meet each other in a battle to find out who will next challenge NZ Heavyweight Champion Sam "Striker" Brown. Dunedin's Matt Toa from the Otago Sharks MMA fight team will meet Peter Aberdeen, who fights out of FTA Porirua.

After much interest from across the Tasman from our Australian brothers wanting a shot at Supremacy Titles and wanting to stick to our original decision to keep NZ titles for Kiwis, Supremacy management has decide to put on a series of MMA Supremacy South Pacific Championship fights.

This leads us to the second fight of the Main card where we will pit NZ Lightweight Champion, Daniel Hooker who fights out of Fighter Center in Auckland against Australian lightweight Robert Lisita who comes to Supremacy Cagefighting by way of Lions Den in Sydney. This fight will be our first International Title fight and will set the scene for many more trans-tasman battles.

A full card of up’n coming and crowd favourates will support the main card. MMA is huge in the South Island and many young guys are putting their hand up for recognition.

The full card looks like this so far.
